The Bourbon cream (sometimes referred to as a Bourbon biscuit or just Bourbon) is a sandwich biscuit consisting of two thin oblong dark chocolate biscuits with a chocolate fondant filling.


The Bourbon was introduced in 1910 (originally under the name Creola) by the Bermondsey biscuit company Peek Freans, of London, originator of the Garibaldi biscuit.[1][2]


There are now many manfactures of the Bourbon cream and the ingredients are usaul all vegan, although you should watch out for Supermarket home brands as Asda once altered the ingredients of their's to include milk. Fox's Bourbon Creams are also not vegan as they contain whey powder.
